Own Review:

What can I say? Everybody I know has seen "Empire Records". It's the movie I refer to, when they look at me and go: Rory, who? [note, I live in Germany and most of his movies are not well known here]. Lucas, is a character I would label as very cool. Although he is guilty of a crime, you just can't be really mad at him. The way he respond in an almost Zen-kind of way is just adorable. The whole movie is a fun-ride and it is an absolute joy to watch these incredibly young actors. Since I worked in a record store for about 6 years, I can tell you this movie is definitely a cult-movies. Gosh, I miss those times, when I got to work and start fighting over who has the first choice on music in the morning. The special-DVD is a must for all fans of the flick, I especially loved the scene between Lucas and Joe outside talking. It was very well played and added a bit more seriousness to the situation. To sum up, it's a great movie. Oh, and a feel-good movie too. So if you feeling sad, just put "Empire Records" in and Damn the Man!
